Winter Wishlist

Hello people,
I hope you are all set to deal with the winters but don't worry, the cold whiff doesn't last long in India. It's a matter of hardly a couple of months-or three! Its much lesser than it used to be earlier.

I am currently lusting these items to make an entry soon into my lovely wardrobe. I am not really a brand-conscious person and I have a mix of both, branded items as well as non-branded ones (that I got from flea markets or other places).

Here's my winter wishlist..

A floral print blazer for this winter. The fit really matters in case of a blazer otherwise you might end up looking filthy! Any nice one like the above should do. It is a staple item worth investing into.
Booties! Booties!! Booties!!! Oh, my never-ending crush on this word! ;)

A wollen cap that adds a vintage appeal  to your style! The one above is quite a hit.

The biker leather jacket. Leather too is a never-fading piece that you can stock in your closet and never get enough of! Agree?

Rings like these appear as if you have stacked them into your fingers. I want them as they are a statement accessory.

Obsessed with Blue

Accidentally, I came across these photos in my laptop today which were supposed to be part of the ''1 Skirt Many Looks'' post. I gave it a miss that time thinking they aren't good enough for the blog. But now I realise they are not THAT bad. Or may be now I like this look more than the time I shot for it. Ok, whatever! :D

I had showcased 5 different outfits using a single black pencil skirt, now why not add this one as a 6th look. It is fit for a dinner date or whatever occasion suits you (Since there are no hard and fast rules to be followed in FASHION), or are there any RULES..Oh! Whatever!!! Seems like ''whatever'' is word of the day ;)

Check it out and review at the end, if you like! :)

My winter wishlist coming up next on the blog, stay tuned!

Lastly, always smile, coz no one wants to date a frown ;) and love fashion like no one else!

Cheers,

Fashion Underground

This is straight from the fashion week to the blogger's table. I've been thinking of sharing runway trends that I just can't get enough of! So here I am, with some inspiration from the newspaper features and editorials.

The Sao Paulo Fashion Week, that took place recently between October 28 and November 1, 2013, was quite out-of-the-box! The theme was urban mobility.

Forget about old school ramps, the models performed play in the metro in Sao Paulo, Brazil. A glass dressing room was installed at the station so that passengers can see the models getting ready for the catwalk. Escalators and train compartments acted as their ramp where these models posed for pictures. The new fashion runway literally went underground-in the subway. Other dressed-for-work passengers were stunned and captured pictures on their phones after recovering from the shock.

A very unique fashion show in itself, I liked this one as it was interactive with the general public.
Now this will definitely hit my mind whenever I am travelling in the Delhi metro :-P

Glimpses from the show..

My favourite outfit from the collection
Hope you liked this one as I loved the costumes and the colors! Share your feedback if you like :)

Awesome Accessories Part 7 - Sunglasses

'Sun'glasses basically mean protecting your eyes from the harmful rays of the sun.
Its a great fashion accessory as well. Lately, shades have been used more as a style statement. You can easily spot people sporting them inside malls, cafes etc.

They come in various shapes and sizes. So, you can choose according to your personality.

Cat-eye, oversized, flat etc. Amongst the unisex ones, we have wayferer, aviators, round frames.
My personal favourite is the cat-eye frames. They can make heads turn, you can instantly flaunt your fashion sense and make your face look appealing at the same time. Done right, shades tend to highlight the best features of your face.
Here is my collection..

I got my mother's old silk saree recycled into these beautiful pants. Finally I am sporting these pants as I have been adoring them for a week now! There is a touch of pink also in the outfit. Minimal accessories to shift the focus to the pants.

Trending: Plaid

These days laziness drowns me all the time and I also feel terrible about clothes that don't fit me anymore (Is the size really increasing, wondering!). Meanwhile I have been Instagram-ing and trying to get inspiration from Pinterest for maxi dresses coz I'm longing for it.

I'm really growing fond of the plaid trend for now but sadly don't own anything that's plaid but a muffler. In layman's language, plaid is a checked pattern that you must have seen around(but might not have noticed, just like me). A chequered men's shirt clicks my mind first whenever I hear of ''plaid''.

I think I'm gonna raid my brother's (boyfriend is too mainstream..haha) wardrobe and settle my starve for this style. I'm already getting excited to wear something of the manly variety coz I am extremely feminine at all times for that matter.

PLAID PATTERN
My current nail art will tell you more about my love for it.
Have a look...

and isn't this plaid-ed heel sexy and gorgeous

Diwali Special - Saree with a twist

First of all, wish you a very happy and prosperous DIWALI. May your life be filled with good luck and blessings from the almighty! Have superb festivities ahead!!!!!

I am not into traditional wear much but the biggest festive season of the year i.e. Diwali calls for some indian-ness in our outfits. I especially fret the saree all year round, though I've worn this six yards piece of cloth a couple of times in life (that's it!).
So, thought of wearing it, but obviously with a twist. I picked this saree in royal blue and since its already a jazzy color, no need to glam it up! Festivals in India are all about glam-ing it up with gold. I love this deep tone of blue which is a huge trend for much time now, and let me also confess that more than half of my wardrobe is BLUE right now!!! The saree is plain with no print at all. So let's add an innovative touch. Draped it in Mumtaz style and replaced the regular blouse with a lace shrug in black to complement the entire look. A brooch in golden of Lord Ganesha. Mom had this one and what better occasion to flaunt it.

Yes!! It's a similar saree that Deepika Padukone wore in the movie 'Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani' *_*

Kaleidoscopic nails

I also got my hair colored recently! How do you like the new look?

Items in style:

Saree
Lace shrug (Earlier seen here)
Golden Ganesha Brooch
Earrings
Bracelet
Cocktail Ring
Heels

Finally, always keep loving and worshiping fashion..
