Back to college

I seldom miss my college days. They were loaded with fun, freedom and responsibility for your own actions. It's all part of growing up. The carefree attitude but I have always been a sincere student at that. This made me do a post on 'college look' for any regular day.

Now by the time I've started writing this one, I am wondering whether it's about ethnic wear or mix 'n' match. Actually, both! Back to roots with a lil twist. Also, I have experimented with my hair this time coz otherwise I like to leave them loose on almost all occasions.

I am wearing a classic white chikan kurti. My goodness, its 7 years old!!!!! Coupled with a blue patiala salwar from another Indian suit. I broke the norm of wearing kolhapuri chappals and went for bellies instead. A jhola bag, jhumkas' and braided hairstyle to complete the look in sync with the indian tradition. Finally, don't skip out your lovely attitude to-die-for!

Wish I could go back to college and relive the moments which are only memories now.
Anyway, I hope you liked the outfit.

WELLA Bloggers Meet

My first blogger's meet and guess what, am reporting live from the WELLA INTERNATIONAL STUDIO, Select Citywalk, Saket.
We Indians are very skeptical about coloring our hair. But today is a great opportunity for some lucky bloggers including me to know the truth behind hair color. ''THE TRUTH''. The first and foremost, Ammonia-free is not damage free. There can be worst products than ammonia that could damage your hair. Shocking, isn't it?

I have already had this experience of coloring my hair in 2011 but never could gather courage again. Also, my mom is completely against it and I respect her. But with due respect and keeping in mind my experimental nature, Wella has opened my eyes (and all other senses) in a true manner. The panel here are answering all our queries form hair to hair color to what causes damage. Very often we tend to blame hair color for the damage, split ends and rough texture. But don't you think pollution and everyday wear 'n' tear does the same? Ponder over it. What your favourite hairdresser in the salon won't tell you, Wella did it!

I'm sure to get my hair colored now with more confidence and better knowledge, of course.
It's a lovely bloggers meet and am really enjoying it. As an empowered consumer I will feel much better experimenting with things am aware of!

That's me

Now let me go for lunch, since I am starved!
Loving #truthbehindhaircolor !!!!

Sneak peek - Shoes

Did you know?

High Heels were originally made for Men:

King of France Louis XIV was very short, so to compensate his height his cobbler put a piece of wood on the heels and an other on the soles to give the king some height.
All women certainly owe his cobbler a lot!!!!

As people say, heels lift you physically and mentally,
so let me describe the different types of heels I possess.

and few of the footwear here....

Thanks to this post that I got to clean my shoe closet and discard the ones I haven't used in the past one year. My mom will really give blessings to my blog now..haha!
We never forget to pamper our sweet feet in these lovelies, but I also don't skip nourishing my feet as they get swollen wearing high heels for long periods! How do you take care of your foot 'n' footwear.
Let me know by commenting below.

Till next, let's be head over heels ;) and walk in attitude ladies!

Awesome Accessories Part 4

TRENDING: FLORAL HAIR ACCESSORIES

Oversized Flower
Pin it up in your hair or use it as a brooch on a blazer or dress. Brooch reminds me of the badges we used to pin onto our bags during college. Apart from the yellow smiley’s, I noticed a variety of funky and cool ones in different shapes and sizes. Youngsters are extremely experimental at times(no biases) and why not, we form majority of the population and influential too.

Floral print is the in-thing this season and this trend is surely not going anywhere in the winters as well, but it takes an interesting turn when this is in 3-D. When I think floral, suddenly my huge hairpin pops into my mind.

This one is a gift from my maternal aunt. This piece never disappoints me in any way. The classic white color makes it easy to team-up with any kind of outfit easily.

Any classy and evergreen pick is always cherished! Hair bands with flowers are loved and so with blingy embellishments.

This is another flower I own and it seems like rose-shaped. Extremely adorable and cute ^.^

I own a red rose hairclip that my BFF gifted me. The best part is that everyone used to be fooled for the first time seeing it. Anyone can easily confuse it with a real rose (believe me!). I am unable to track it lately, so could not treat you with its pictures!

Clip pinned to hairband

Last but not the least, are some other pieces that can be put on quickly on the move!!
Hope you liked each one of them.

Comments are always welcome.

Outfit Of The Day - Jumpsuit yet again

Hi everyone

The summer already seems disappearing, so before it vanishes too fast and we won't even realize, thought of doing a post about my favourite jumpsuit from last year. Jumped into jumpsuit for probably one last time as we are already between summer and autumn. It is in purple, which used to be my dearest color and it's got animal print. The neckpiece is my latest online purchase! I skipped earrings so that the entire focus shifts to the statement necklace and I guess that worked out well. What's your take?

I put on a purple ring and black webbed stilettoes and completed the look with a purse. Something missing? Yes, don't forget to carry tonnes of attitude and rock where ever you go!!!

Your ATTITUDE matters!

Let me begin today by quoting the tagline of my very own blog...

Fashion is not an option

Its an attitude!!!!

Fashion is referred as an attitude as it includes your inner style and outer personality.
It's not just your clothes or accessories, its your attitude which is of equal importance.
Be your clothing branded or not, but you must be able to carry it off with ease and confidence.
If we experiment with something that we are not used to, its a challenge to feel comfortable and showcase that at the same time.

I agree with the fact that apparels makes or breaks! It can work wonders if accessorized well. Carrying your self along with right attitude counts!

Attitude does not only mean how you present yourself. It's the outer attitude and inner as well. You should feel great about yourself from the inside. The inner self should feel that you are dressed right for a particular occasion. Then you will really be ready to take on the world. Practice optimism. When we truly value ourself, we will always feel and look awesome. That is guaranteed. Be open to criticism...then only you can develop the perfect attitude over time.

I hope we all build ourselves to instill the right attitude and rock the world.

Cheers,
Vishakha

Before going shopping...

There are few things we have in mind while we are going for shopping, but somehow skip while we hit the marketplace. The clutter results in impulsive purchases which we don't really require and later find it difficult to pair it up with something!

So don't let that happen to you. Be a smart shopper with these tips:

·         Browse the Internet and save photos of celebrities and models who you'd want to dress like.

·         Get inspiration from these trends and make a basic list of the things-to-shop. Eg- Pink Palazzo, sleeveless white lace top. Detail out if you want something specific, otherwise keep the doors of your mind open. :)

·         When you finally hit the market, ask for things that match your list. Look for your size eg S/M/L. If you are in a flea market, you can’t try out much of the stuff. Have a fair idea of what looks good on you and what doesn’t. Pick accordingly. If you are in a store, definitely try and feel the fit and then purchase. For jeans and trousers, lean down on your toes in the trial room and feel the fit.

·         Don’t blindly purchase ‘M’ size always because these sizes sometimes differ from brand to brand.

·         Don’t settle for anything but the best.

Happy Shopping!

Vishakha

Beach Look

Hey,

Have a look at the OOTD. I assumed am getting ready for the beach.

Black & White

This was a quick one today!

I have done a beach look this time, but without any beach :D. I so wish I lived near one. Most probably this is how I will put together an outfit for the same.
I have used this oversized shirt as a shrug over a blue ganji and shorts. I love the stripes trend. Minimal accessories to keep it hassle-free. Waterproof belly(obviously) to complete the look.
All set to be sunkissed!
Also now it seems I am obsessed with blue, which i am not and its all a coincidence that the last couple of posts have blue in it.

Vishakha

Awesome Accessories - Part 3

Hello everyone out there..taking out sweet little time of your day reading my ultra~cute post ;)

I almost lost track of the accessories series going on the blog! So here I am, with the largest collection of earrings in my jewel box! I have always been crazy collecting charm for my ears. Why not, something that is effortlessly visible with only a glance on her face! They come in all shapes and sizes. So you can easily find them suiting your taste, face type and personality.

In India, ear piercing is very prominent for the females because of the religious value attached. It is cultural for us to do so. But, nevertheless, jewels are a woman's soul mate, and would always remain. I once loved the jute earrings I saw at the Surajkund Crafts Mela, organised in Faridabad every year in February, season of love, added bonus ;)

Have a look at my valued collection!!! They have been lying unused for quite some time now, since I like to go easy and add bling to the ears only occasionally.

I thought snapping all of them and compiling later would be a daunting task. So bundled them together on a hanger and went CLICK! CLICK!!! ^.^
Jhumka gira re!

Would you like to buy any of these from me. Drop me a comment if you wish to.. haha, Just kidding! Don't take me serious.
Anyway, leave your love for them in the comments below!
Till the next time, keep it stylish!

Cheers
Vishakha
